Awkwafina
Awkwafina was initially an American performer and rapper, releasing sly tracks that tackled topics like racial or sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer was able to make a few songs. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. After classical and Jazz training her interest in hip-hop grew in her teen years. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even studying Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. The focus on music until the time she completed her degree. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in the year 2012. It eventually made it on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. On the album, there was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015, which was a different idea. Alongside having a book published, her other career was as a performer. She's appeared in movies such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she scored many notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her EP "In Fina We Trust".
